DW Manufacturing Team Manager

Rapid Medical is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Team Manager to lead a production team within our growing manufacturing department

This is a front-line leadership role — perfect for team leaders / managers in the medical-device industry who love being close to the production floor and developing people

Previous experience in managing a production team is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a manufacturing team, ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality output and continuous improvement.

• Provide training and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to manufacturing procedures and documentation; and driving continuous process improvements to support operational efficiency.

• Manage daily production operations, ensuring strict adherence to procedures, documentation requirements (DHRs, travelers, SOPs), and regulatory standards.

• Oversee the transition from development to full-scale production, including validation, process design, and documentation to ensure successful product launch.

• Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet sales demands and deadlines.

• Establish and maintain safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure strong process control and smooth execution on the production floor.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in managing manufacturing teams in the medical industry.

• Experience in designing and improving manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read, interpret and improve mechanical drawings.

• Hands-on competence with machines, tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges).

• Technical English (written and spoken).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

• Experience with small and delicate products - an advantage.

• Technical background and strong technical sense – an advantage.

• Knowledge of Priority or other ERP system– an advantage.

• Practical Engineer or equivalent degree – an advantage.

• Knowledge of medical devices regulations (ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA) – an advantage.
