Technical Manager
The position includes the following responsibilities:
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead R&D projects – Drive the development of innovative neurointervention devices from concept to production.
• Design & prototype – Develop mechanical designs, create prototypes, and optimize product performance.
• Develop manufacturing processes – Work closely with manufacturing teams to refine processes and equipment.
• Ensure high-quality standards – Oversee product testing, validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally – Work with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to push projects forward.
• Manage timelines & execution – Track project milestones, ensuring efficiency and quality at every stage.
REQUIREMENTS:
• B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or another relevant technical field.
• 6+ years in R&D roles within the medical device industry.
• Multidisciplinary experience in medical device development, including:
o Mechanical design
o Nitinol laser cutting and treatments
o Manufacturing equipment
o Experience in developing micro-catheters, wires, and stents – an advantage
o Knowledge of chemical treatments for metals (stainless steel, Nitinol) - an advantage
o Experience with thin tubing materials such as PTFE and Pebax - an advantage
• Understanding of local and global manufacturing sites and subcontractors.
• Strong problem-solving ability, project management skills, and the capacity to work independently or within a cross-functional team.
